Connecticut Light & Power recently released its monthly Supplier Load and Customer Switching data through December 2010. Switching behavior continues to exhibit a strong upward trend through December 2010, with more than 60% of CL&P’s total load (1.1M mWh), and almost 37% of CL&P’s total customer base (447K) now being served by alternative energy suppliers.
At the year-end point in 2010, electric power shopping in the United Illuminating service territory continues along a very strong upward trend. Through December 2010, more than 67% of UI’s total load (>346K mWh), and more than 42% of UI’s total customer base (>138K) is served competitively.
