- Connecticut Light & Power and United Illuminating posted their Q4 2010 GSC Last Resort Service electric rates. PPL EnergyPlus will supply 100% of CL&P’s LRS load for Q4 2010. Constellation Energy Commodities Group, Inc. will supply 100% of UI’s LRS load for Q4 2010.
- The Connecticut DPUC has ordered, in an interim decision, the suspension of Turris Associates LLC’s license to operate as an electric aggregator, and ordered that Turris is not authorized to solicit and sign up new customers.
- In Docket No. 10-08-09, Positive Energy filed a letter to the Attorney General saying that a formal, docketed investigation by the DPUC is unnecessary regarding the allegations surrounding Positive Energy and its owner. In Docket No. 98-01-02RE04, the CT DPUC issued a Draft Decision which would approve Connecticut Light & Power’s revised Electric Restructuring Rates and Charges. The proposed rates, relating to various metering options (such as Pulse Output) and off-cycle meter reads, proposes adjusted rates and tariffs necessary to provide the services listed in the Billing and Metering Decision: (1) processing a customer’s change of supplier; (2) off-cycle meter reading; (3) billing; (4) collection services; (5) load data and analysis; and (6) customer service.
- The Connecticut DPUC has re-opened Docket 05-10-03 to review an advanced metering study and rate pilot results submitted by Connecticut Light & Power relating to its deployment of 10,000 advanced meters and summer 2009 dynamic pricing pilot. The DPUC wants to determine whether to move forward with a more comprehensive deployment of advanced metering in the CL&P service area.
- The Connecticut Office of Consumer Counsel (OCC) issued a statement asking that the DPUC reject Yankee Gas’ Energy Conscious Blueprint project proposal, saying that there is no set formula for determining incentive subsidies, and that large projects should be evaluated on an individual basis to achieve maximum value for ratepayer dollars spent.
- Mint Energy, LLC applied for a CT Electric Supplier License.
- In Docket No. 06-04-04RE01, the DPUC issued a Final Decision approving a settlement that allows gas marketers to drop delinquent customers from their supply pools during the initial 12-month firm transportation (FT) term without the potential for financial repercussions from the LDCs, such as failure to deliver penalties.
